Firefighters (from multiple cities and states), EMTs, doctors, nurses, clergy and civilians all stepped up to help in any way they could when the fire at the Beverly Hills Supper Club blazed out of control. Hospitals from Kentucky and Ohio alike were alerted to the emergency and prepared themselves to receive the incoming wounded. Numerous volunteers and local businesses offered their services the days following the fire to help sort out the devastating aftermath. Each and every one of them are heroes. Below are some of those heroes speaking in their own words about what they experienced, and how they have coped since then with the memories that they live with.
